At the St Albans Networking themed lunch, sponsored by Clydesdale Bank, the Mayor spoke about his passion for helping local young people and commented.

Sporting facilities and opportunities can have a hugely positive impact on people’s physical and mental health. I am very grateful for organisations such as the Old Albanians Rugby Football Club that work very hard to promote and encourage sport in the community.

Also speaking were Harpenden resident David Clarke, former Paralympian soccer player and senior manager at Clydesdale Bank and Chairman of Fylde RFC David Young.
The Mayor and Mayoress then watched the National 1 League Match between Old Albanian and Fylde.
