OA Saints – Jan 2018

OA Saints January Update

It has been a testing second half to the Saints Season in Championship SE 2 League, currently sitting in third position in the league table on 29 points. Our goal is to be top of the league but injuries and other commitments have unfortunately hit us hard which can’t always be helped but there’s still time! Our players are talented and adapt well on game day giving our head coach various selection options.

Continuing recruitment has paid off as we now have twelve new registered players already making their mark in the Saints squad.
One of the recruitment drives was our Inner Warrior Camp on a very wet and dreary January day atOAs. Support from RFU Community Coach Harry Harrison and drills lead by Saints Head Coach Darran Brown didn’t stop the girls training and with some new faces also getting stuck in!

A very special mention goes to our Assistant Coach Henry Clear and his wife Heidi. Heidi went into labour before Christmas and had their daughter Verity 8 weeks premature.  Verity only weighed 4lbs 1 ounce when she was born and spent 4 weeks in hospital over the Christmas period. It’s was very tough times for them but she is out of hospital now and doing great.

Thanks
Barnsey
