Grizzlies Update – Easter 2018

What a beautiful bunch

The Grizzlies run into the end of the season has been mixed. We were still in with a chance to win the league, but alas Finsbury Park put paid to that when they beat us with the last kick of the game to win 19-17. It was a tough loss to accept as the Grizzlies had dominated for most of the match leading at halftime 17-5.

Last week saw us return to winning ways which will put us 2nd place in the league behind Cuffley. We went to Chesham and won a tough fixture 10-7.

We have one last league game, a home fixture against Berkhampsted 1XVs on 7th April. Followed by our Plate semi-final against them the following week. Although the league is lost we hope to reach the Plate final and hopefully win that.

The Grizzlies will take on a Sandringham Baabaa’s side to celebrate Sandringham’s 30th Anniversary on Wednesday 25th April. The match will be in support of the Ollie Foundation andΒ should be an entertaining night of rugby with a few familiar faces turning up to play. Everyone is welcome, admission is free with hot food and drinks are available on the night. KO 7.30pm.
