Another Dent in OAs Survival Hopes
Billy Harding, the Esher Number Two would have enjoyed the rest of his weekend as would any hooker who had scored a hattrick. His personal contribution put another dent in the survival hopes of OAs who will now be wondering where solace may come from.
This prompted a vigorous response from the visitors who drove to the Esher 22. Tom Bednall’s penalty hit the post but within moments Joe Bridger kicked on for the try. Bednall missed his second kick. Harding scored again on the half hour and a very fortunate bounce allowed Cadan Murley over on the left. Score at the interval 19-5.
Morgan Thompson reduced the deficit with a penalty at the end of the third quarter but after another OA penalty concession Harding achieved his moment of fame.
Bishops Stortford, five points adrift against Birmingham Moseley last week visit Woollams this Saturday. The visitors will not be too distressed about their season to date and will look to inflict a double defeat on Albanians in this campaign. Gavin Hogg’s men will be busy between then and now.
