After a long tenure our present Manager is retiring and we are therefore seeking to fill the role of 1st Team Manager/Administrator for next season. The role could be held by one person, as it has over the past 5 seasons or can easily be divided into administration duties and a Saturday match role.
In either a standalone or shared position you would be an important figure in the 1st Team Squad, working closely with the 1st team Captain, Head Coach and Director of Rugby.
Mid-week duties would in the main be administration and organisational such as: travel arrangements; controlling and distributing off field and on field kit; ensuring the squad contact details etc are up to date. This position would suit both male or female applicants.
Saturday is a more hands on role including; preparation of the changing rooms pre-match on both home and away games; ensuring all kit is organised onto the bus on away trips; being on hand to help the coaches and players in preparation for and during the match; organising substitutions under the coach’s guidance; ensuring all kit is collected and returned to its proper location. This position would be more suitable to a male respondent since duties need to be carried out whilst the changing room and showers are in use by the players.
Although there are no financial benefits with these roles the camaraderie and enjoyment of being a part of a great group of people is very rewarding.
